Staff Nurse - RN - Renal Dialysis provides professional nursing care to assigned patients with kidney conditions that require dialysis treatment. Reviews patient histories, administers medications, and performs dialysis treatments. Being a Staff Nurse - RN - Renal Dialysis ensures dialysis machine and all products used during a treatment are properly prepared and meet quality standards. Monitors the patient during dialysis, records observations in patient medical records, and reports any changes in condition to the physician as needed. Additionally, Staff Nurse - RN - Renal Dialysis supervises technicians or nursing aides that perform monitoring or patient care tasks during a treatment. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in nursing or equivalent. Requires a Registered Nurse (RN) license. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. A Dialysis Registered Nurse provides specialized nursing care at one of DCI’s in-center hemodialysis units as part of a patient care team. Our RNs are integral in ensuring safe care and the highest quality outcomes are prioritized for every patient.
Schedule: This position is a full time position.
Shift: 4 - 10 hour shifts / shift starts at approx. 5:30 am.Benefits:- Paid 12-week training with preceptor.

What You Can Expect:- Prepare dialysis machine, its alarms, and treatment supplies and ensure quality standards are met.
- Perform hemodialysis treatments per facility policies and procedures.
- Ongoing patient education, training and health coaching.
- Monitor patients during dialysis, assessing and communicating changes with physician and families.
- Administer and chart all prescribed medications.
- Follow CDC/CMS infection control regulations.
- Participate in patient care conferences, rounds and chart reviews.
- Document required patient education efforts.
- Facilitate continuity of care with local hospitals.
- Assist in medication inventory maintenance.
- Lead a small patient care team.
- Contribute to onboarding new staff members as directed.
