Staff Nurse - RN, Sr. - Medical Management jobs in Killeen, TX

Staff Nurse - RN, Sr. - Medical Management leads the coordination between care providers and plan members with the goal of maximizing member benefits while managing costs. Oversees the assessment of medical necessity of procedures and/or admissions, conducts pre-certification or authorization, and ensures compliance with established guidelines. Being a Staff Nurse - RN, Sr. - Medical Management assists members in appeals for denied services. Interprets benefits and guides members to choose to the appropriate providers, projects and resources. Additionally, Staff Nurse - RN, Sr. - Medical Management applies the medical and reimbursement policies within the claim adjudication process. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in Nursing. Typically reports to a manager. Requires RN license. To be a Staff Nurse - RN, Sr. - Medical Management typically requires more than 5 years of related experience.     Qualifications:

    • Graduation from an accredited nursing program
    • Current Texas State Nursing License (LVN/RN)
    • Current BLS and CPR Certification
    • Previous experience in senior care preferred, but not required
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
    • Knowledge of professional nursing principles and practices
    • Familiarity with State and Federal regulations governing senior care facilities

    Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans for residents
    • Conduct assessments and monitor residents' health status
    • Administer medications and provide specialized care as needed
    • Advocate for residents' rights and well-being
    • Provide support and education to residents and their families
    • Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with the healthcare team
    • Respond to emergencies and provide timely and appropriate care
