Staff Nurse - RN, Sr. - Medical Management leads the coordination between care providers and plan members with the goal of maximizing member benefits while managing costs. Oversees the assessment of medical necessity of procedures and/or admissions, conducts pre-certification or authorization, and ensures compliance with established guidelines. Being a Staff Nurse - RN, Sr. - Medical Management assists members in appeals for denied services. Interprets benefits and guides members to choose to the appropriate providers, projects and resources. Additionally, Staff Nurse - RN, Sr. - Medical Management applies the medical and reimbursement policies within the claim adjudication process. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in Nursing. Typically reports to a manager. Requires RN license. To be a Staff Nurse - RN, Sr. - Medical Management typically requires more than 5 years of related experience.     Reporting to the Women’s and Children’s Services Assistant Nurse Manager, the Obstetrics Staff Nurse will provide bedside care for L&D Patient through the entire birthing process. Working closely with a team of amazing, and tenured Labor and Delivery Charge Nurses, this RN will find a collaborative and collegiate environment built on mutual respect and growth.

    At the heart of this dedicated Women’s & Children’s Services Department is an outstanding Labor and Delivery unit. The 22-beds in this unit see over 6,000 births annually, and are staffed around the clock by a team of experts. The Obstetrics RN will get to work closely with Certified Nurse Midwives, a 24/7 team of providers that include high-risk Nurse Practitioners and MDs, Patient Care Technicians, CNAs, and other support staff.
