Staff Nurse - RN - Surgical First Assistant provides direct patient care to surgical patients throughout the perioperative period. Assists surgeon during surgical procedures by positioning skin preparation, providing wound exposure, performing tissue dissection, suturing, and other surgical tasks. Being a Staff Nurse - RN - Surgical First Assistant administers medications and IV treatments as necessary. Participates in discharge planning and counsels patients and caregivers on appropriate post-operative care. Additionally, Staff Nurse - RN - Surgical First Assistant requires a bachelor's degree. Requires Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR). Requires Registered Nurse First Assistant (CRNFA). Requires Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Staff Nurse - RN - Surgical First Assistant's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. We are a surgical office that specializes in Periodontology and Implantology. Our dental practice is searching for a dedicated Surgical Dental Assistant who can assist chair-side during all surgical procedures. We are looking for someone that can perform all basic dental procedures, such as cleaning rooms, sterilizing instruments, taking patient dental x-rays including cat-scans, and maintain complex patient records with the utmost confidentiality. The ideal candidate for this position has a dental background with at least one year of dental assisting experience. We would need the applicant to be self-motivated with the ability to work in a busy, fast paced environment, able to multi-task and have a willingness to learn.
