Stationary Engineer operates, repairs, and maintains stationary equipment including boilers, generators, refrigeration, and turbines in buildings, plants or industrial facilities. Ensures that equipment is operating safely and within established limits. Being a Stationary Engineer conducts monitoring and failure analysis of meters, gauges and controls to determine the need for repair or replacement of parts. Performs preventative maintenance and documents completed procedures. Additionally, Stationary Engineer requires a high school diploma. Requires applicable Stationary Engineer's license for the state. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Stationary Engineer works under moderate supervision. The primary functions include assisting in the design and development of inspections methods, including procedures, gauging, implementing technologies or programming. This employee works with Quality Control, Product Development and Manufacturing Departments in planning for quality and resolving quality problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Associate or Bachelor degree in Engineering and over one-year experience desired. High School Diploma or G.E.D and 3 years experience as a Quality Technician.
