Position Summary:
This project is an incrementally launched, 1000’ long, steel composite bridge on the Kenai Peninsula of Alaska, South of Anchorage. The project is anticipated to last approximately 4-5 years and entails large-diameter drilled shafts, substructure concrete, steel plate girder pre-assembly and launching, and a cast-in-place concrete deck. The location is remote in nature, with an approximate 1-hour drive to the nearest town. Perform engineering duties in planning, designing, and supervising the bridge project by planning, organizing and controlling day-to-day tasks; complete quality inspections; supervises sub-contractors and field engineers.
