Stationary Engineer, Sr. jobs in Detroit, MI
Stationary Engineer, Sr. operates, repairs, and maintains stationary equipment including boilers, generators, refrigeration, and turbines in buildings, plants or industrial facilities. Ensures that equipment is operating safely and within established limits. Being a Stationary Engineer, Sr. conducts monitoring and failure analysis of meters, gauges and controls to determine the need for repair or replacement of parts. Performs preventative maintenance and documents completed procedures. Additionally, Stationary Engineer, Sr. requires a high school diploma. Requires applicable Stationary Engineer's license for the state. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Stationary Engineer, Sr. works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATION
- 8 plus years of Facility Maintenance/Stationary Engineer experience.
- Must have 1st Class Stationary Engineer License or Refrigeration
- A certification in HVAC, Boiler and Steam operations, Machine Repair or Mechanical craft areas is a requirement.
- Experience with pumps, motors, speed and feed systems, and hydraulics
- Some experience with controller programs, to include Allen-Bradley, Fanuc, and Siemens
- HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilating, Air conditioning and Refrigeration): Indoor Air Quality, Temperature Control, and Scavenge Exhaust Systems
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Must have strong written and verbal communication, detail oriented and must have extensive knowledge on Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of maintenance system such as MAXIMO helpful Mechanical Systems
