Stationary Engineer, Sr. jobs in Lorain, OH
Stationary Engineer, Sr. operates, repairs, and maintains stationary equipment including boilers, generators, refrigeration, and turbines in buildings, plants or industrial facilities. Ensures that equipment is operating safely and within established limits. Being a Stationary Engineer, Sr. conducts monitoring and failure analysis of meters, gauges and controls to determine the need for repair or replacement of parts. Performs preventative maintenance and documents completed procedures. Additionally, Stationary Engineer, Sr. requires a high school diploma. Requires applicable Stationary Engineer's license for the state. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Stationary Engineer, Sr. works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. The Huron County Engineer’s Office is now accepting applications for Seasonal Employment (May through September).
Under the direction of a supervisor, performs varied types of manual and unskilled laboring work.
Duties include but not limited to:
- General maintenance of buildings and roads.
- Pot hole patching
- Mowing / trimming / brush removal
- Flagging
- Litter pick-up
Position requires employee to work in outdoor weather conditions such as sun, heat, wind, and rain. The work physical demands and work environment characteristics described are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
Minimum Qualifications: Must be high school graduate. Possess a valid State of Ohio Driver’s License.
