Sterile Supply Attendant sterilizes, cleans, wraps, stores and distributes supplies, instruments, and equipment used in patient care. Disinfects equipment requiring decontamination or sterilization. Being a Sterile Supply Attendant prepares supplies and equipment for use during patient procedures. Operates autoclaves and other equipment to sterilize instruments and equipment. Additionally, Sterile Supply Attendant inspects and assembles instruments, equipment, trays, and packs. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Sterile Supply Attendant possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area.   • Task Description: Supply Technician (01410):

    This position performs limited aspects of technical supply management work (e.g., inventory management, storage management, cataloging, and property utilization) related to depot, local, or other supply activities. Work usually is segregated by commodity area or function, and controlled in terms of difficulty, complexity, or responsibility. Assignments usually relate to stable or standardized segments of technical supply management operations; or to functions or subjects that are narrow in scope or limited in difficulty. The work generally involves individual case problems or supply actions. This work requires consideration of program requirements together with specific variations in or from standardized guidelines. Assignments require: (a) a good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines; (b) an understanding of the needs of the organization serviced; and (c) analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data to establish the facts, and take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines.

    Additional Requirements: Shall be proficient performing all operator, data entry, and retrieval functions. Transmits and receives data via disk, modem, and other electronic means. Extracts data, formulates and interprets management reports, creates archives, backups, and data saves in support of deployments and detachment operations. Performs a wide range of administrative and financial duties within the Material Control Division such as preparing reports and correspondence, filing, and typing. Performs tool room management IAW Tool Control Program (acting as Tool Control Program Coordinator), Metrology and Calibration (METCAL) Program, and Individual Material Readiness List (IMRL) Program Coordinator. Performs Hazardous Material Control and Management Supervisor requirements.

    Knowledge & Skills:

    • Must have a good working knowledge of U.S. Air Force policies, methods, and technical publications.
    • Must be familiar with manual and automated methods of supply administration.
    • Must have a working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines.
    • Overall knowledge of a complete supply system to include research, stock control, demand processing, issuing, storage, and handling of supplies and equipment.

    Responsibility: Performs requirements in accordance with the procedures established in the PWS. Performs inventories of repair parts and general supplies. Procures, receives, stores and issues material and repair components. Utilizes financial accounting and database systems. May be required to verify work performed by another for which he/she is qualified to perform.

    Task Requirements:

    • Tool Room: The Contractor shall manage the Tool Room and ensure Tool Room services are performed IAW governing directives by ensuring all inspection standards are met. Tool room management includes:
    • Tool Room Programs: The Contractor shall be responsible for the Tool Control Program (acting as Tool Control Program Coordinator)
    • Issue/Receive Tools, Equipment and Hazardous Material/Waste: The Contractor shall Order/Issue/Receive tools, inventory and maintain tools, and issue/receive/properly handle hazardous materials/waste per activity's Safety Data Sheet (SDS) and local governing directives.
    • Tool and Equipment Maintenance: Repairs, periodic maintenance, and calibration of all Support Equipment (SE), IMRL, and calibration-required tools shall be performed at the appropriate level of maintenance. Base support equipment, I-level facilities and calibration laboratories are available to provide I-level and Depot level support as required. Repairs or periodic maintenance, which is considered to be O-level in nature, are required to be performed by the Contractor.

    Material Control Services:

    • Order and receive aircraft parts and material.
    • Expediting repairable and consumable material requisitions through the supply system and informing Maintenance Control on status changes Coordinates limited aspects of technical supply related to local supply activities.
    • Responsible for maintaining material requirements list, inventories, bench stock (expendable items), critical items list, receipt, storage and issue records, coordinates, processes and expedites supply transactions.
    • Orders parts as defined by Aircraft Mechanics and Air Force Technical Manuals. Determines and forecasts material requirements and establishes minimum stock levels. Prepares documentation necessary for turn-in or repair of repairable components.
    • Analyzes to define or recognize the dimension of problems involved, collects the necessary data to establish the facts, and takes or recommends action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Defense Hazardous Material/Hazardous Waste Handling course (Course 9E-F50/322-F34 (MT)
    • Seven (7) or more years' experience in supply functions Experience using U.S. Air Force computer supply systems.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Logistics Specialist school or equivalent.
    • Three (3) years' experience in supply functions
    • Must be able to work 1st or 2nd shift 3rd and weekend shift.
    • Satisfactory completion National Agency Check Local Records Check and Credit (NACLC), and Access National Agency Check with written Inquires (ANACI) resulting in eligibility for a SECRET clearance shall be required of all employees.

    Compensation

    • $32.21/hour

    Other Compensation

    Employees who opt-out of the group medical plan receive a bi-weekly opt out credit of $100.00.

    Benefits

    Employees are offered medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees who opt out of group health insurance receive $1.50/hour paid up to 40 hours per week. Employees are able to enroll in KAI's 401k plan; the Company will contribute $1.75 per hour paid up to 40 hours per week. Employees accrue 4.0 hours of PTO per bi-weekly pay period. KAI employees at Dyess AFB have 11 paid holidays.

    Employment is contingent on (a) your ability to provide appropriate proof of your identity and eligibility to work in the United States; (b) your references and any background check being satisfactory to the Company; (c) you successfully passing a pre-employment drug test; and (d) your ability to get a required clearance by your effective start date, if needed; and (e) KAI commencing performance on this contract.
