SUMMARY

Administrative position will require use of ERP system to trace and manage inventory. Will work with, but not limited to, purchasing, warehouse, transportation, and production teams. Qualities required: detail oriented, analytical, dependable, initiative, self-motivated, have office etiquette, and be able to work under pressure. A strong background in supply chain and transportation knowledge is preferred.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Purchase Order entry for multi-site organization
• Point of contact for internal customers on PO deliveries
• Resolve purchase order and invoice discrepencies
• Substantial phone and computer usage
• Support inventory maintenance at multiple production facilities
• Implement / improve sourcing procedures
• Manage third party carriers assigned to hauling lanes
• Maintain carrier cost manifest and lead RFQ efforts
• Identify any cost saving opportunities
• Schedule delivery appointments
• Support claims process for defective materials / transporation losses
• Answering, solving inquiries, and complaints from internal customers related to suppliers
• Monitor and track deliveries for high risk POs
• Collaborate with Customer Service and Sales to support data driven decision making.
• Interface accounting, processing plants and transportation departments
• Adhoc report creation and management
• Leverage ERP system to analyze inventory opportunities

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Associate degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school or three years of related transportation and dispatching experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with customers and co-workers. Bi-lingual (Spanish) a plus.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Basic mathematical principles (i.e. addition, subtraction, multiplication and division). Ability to compile and analyze data.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Must be computer literate and possess a moderate level skillset in Word and Excel (Vlookup, Pivot Tables. Ability to learn and perform intermediate functions on computer database programs.

REASONING ABILITY

Must be able to apply common sense understanding, to interpret and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral and diagram form. The ability to deal with problems involving several variables in a variety of different situations is essential. Must also possess the ability to problem solve and work independently. Ability to organize, prioritize, and multi-task to meet deadlines.
