Grocery Stocker/Clerk

Job Function: Christopher's Fine Foods is looking for a Grocery Stock Clerk to maintain proper stocking and rotation of merchandise in and throughout the grocery department area of responsibility. Receive and check-in vendor product, and maintain general cleanliness in and around the store. Assist in building displays and general maintenance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The essential duties and responsibilities of a Grocery Stock Clerk include, but are not limited to the following:

• Observe and comply with all store rules and company policies.
• Pay special attention to health and/or safety procedures and other government rules and regulations.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Maintain a neat and professional appearance at all times.
• Must maintain superior customer service.
• Observe shift operating times as scheduled.
• Ability, open availability, and willingness to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the store are required, including, but not limited to weekend, day, evening, and overnight and holiday work, as needed to meet the demands of the store.
• Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations.
• Watch the store for any unwelcome activity, such as theft, or hazardous conditions that may arise.
• Stock shelf and storage areas and ensure proper rotation.
• When receiving and monitoring deliverables, remember to always sign delivery tickets for verification of quality and quantity, and the return of any product that does not meet our requirements.
• Assist customers with product location.
• Accurately receive and unload merchandise.
• Ensure that invoices for items received are accurate.
• Assist in maintaining inventory control.
• Ensure proper signage on grocery products.
• Assist in training personnel when assigned.
• Assist in ordering grocery items.
• Restock unsold merchandise.
• Maintain proper security practices.
• Keep grocery shelves faced and presentable.
• Retrieve carts/baskets and help customers with placing their groceries in their vehicles.
• Use the forklift and powerlift as needed (Only those that are certified).
• Ensure the bailer is emptied as needed (Must be at least 18 years old).
• Assist in cleanup as needed.
• Be cross trained and perform other related duties as assigned.
