Stock Clerk jobs in Stratford, CT
Stock Clerk locates stock and delivers items to their destination upon request. Ensures incoming deliveries are accurate and stocks supply room with new goods. Being a Stock Clerk takes inventory and identifies reorder needs for supervisor approval. Checks order forms, delivery requests, and approval forms to ensure proper documentation, accuracy, and on time deliveries. Additionally, Stock Clerk requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Stock Clerk works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Main responsibilities include but not limited to stocking shelf with merchandise, straightening up, maintaining, and restocking designated area of with merchandise as well as floor displays.
Assists all customers while on retail floor maintaining our Customer First Policy.
Assists customer with their packages, if necessary.
Collects hand shopping baskets and carts, if necessary.
Performs additional tasks and special projects as assigned by store manager or his/her assistant manager.
Works under immediate supervision.
Qualifications
Mandatory availability to work weekends including Fridays
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Full time employees must work 40 hrs a week
Retail experience preferred but not required.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds, move boxes and stand for long periods of time.
Must have basic computer skills.
