POSITION SUMMARY

Administering and managing day-to-day Operations of Dental Insurance Plans

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Create and update Insurance Fee Schedules, Plans, and rules in to Practice Management Systems.
• Contact insurance companies annually or as needed to ensure Fee Schedule are up to date.
• Process and input patients’ insurance breakdown into system.
• Setup Insurance Payers on Electronic Financial Transaction (EFT/ERA) with each Insurance Carrier if available.
• Setup Insurance Websites.
• Assist with Insurance file maintenance.
• Assist our third-party verification team with any related questions. Assist in Special Projects as directed by Management.

• Ability to work and learn different software.
• Ability to analyze and interpret financial and insurance data.
• Ability to work and follow the policies and procedures accurately.
• Ability to juggle competing demands, prioritize and manage time well (both self and others) even when time is short.
• Dependability and outstanding organizational ability with digital files, with focused attention to detail and follow through.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, include the ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.

REQUIRED AND PERFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, SharePoint and must have experience using Website or software applications to find, review, edit and submit insurance application.
• Minimum Education: High School diploma.
• Required Experience: 2-4 years of Dental insurance and billing experience, preferably dental insurance.
• Software Experience: Dentrix Enterprise/Software of Excellence (SOE).
