Role Description:
The Stock Plan Administrator is responsible for administering equity compensation plans such as long-term incentive equity grants and/or employee stock purchase plans. This role manages the tools and systems for administering stock plans, participant communications, and ensuring plan compliance with regulations. This role will also be responsible for delivering process and program enhancements to ensure effective and timely administration of equity compensation plans.
- Administer the company’s stock plans, including grants, award terminations, equity vesting, and exercises.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping and data integrity related to stock-based compensation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide timely and accurate information to stock plan participants.
- Manage long-term incentive programs, such as stock options, restricted stock units (RSUs), and performance stock units.
- Stay up to date with industry best practices and regulatory changes related to equity compensation.
- Oversee the administration of ESPPs, including enrollment, contributions, and stock purchases.
- Coordinate with payroll and finance teams to ensure seamless execution of stock plan transactions.
- Collaborate with external vendors to ensure smooth operation of stock plan platforms.
- Address any issues related to stock plan administration tools and systems.
- Prepare regular reports on stock plan activity, including participant data, grant details, and vesting schedules.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., SEC, IRS) and internal policies.
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements and automation to streamline stock plan administration.
- Participate in projects related to system upgrades or changes.
- Additional duties and responsibilities as necessary.
What you’ll bring to the table:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience and a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- Comfortable working in a complex operating environment under ambiguous situations.
- Understanding of stock plan administration platforms and regulations.
- Advanced skills with excel, analysis/statistics, presentation/proposals.
- Direct experience administering long-term incentive plans and ESPPs.
- Certified Equity Professional (CEP) certification, preferred.
