PRIMARY DUTY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop, review, comment, consolidate, resolve, staff OPSEC plans for operational planning and exercise support.
• Be familiar with the organization's Critical Information and Indicator List (CIIL) and OPSEC Plan.
• Protect critical and sensitive information from disclosure.
• When necessary, assist the OPSEC PM/Signature Manager in conducting OPSEC internal assessments to ensure enough protection measures are in place to protect critical and sensitive information.
• Combine OPSEC process with planning process as basis for generation of the OPSEC section of plans and orders.
• For operation or exercise, identify critical information.
• Protect portion of Integrated Joint Special Technical Operations (IJSTO) that are deemed most vital to the success of the mission.
• Work with the supported staff to identify the adversary and their goals, intelligence collection capabilities, most likely and most dangerous courses of action against Space Electronic Warfare assets.
• Conduct analysis to identify the potential vulnerabilities for the operation or exercise.
• Identify any OPSEC indicators or vulnerabilities that might reveal critical information.
• Compare indicators and vulnerabilities to the adversary's intelligence collection capabilities identified in the threat analysis.
• Conduct a risk assessment analyzing the vulnerabilities to identify countermeasures, estimating the operational impact of each potential countermeasure and their relative benefits compared to the impact of the adversary exploiting a vulnerability.
• Select specific countermeasures that will effectively protect IJSTO critical information.
• Work with the command to apply OPSEC Countermeasures.
• Work closely with the intelligence community and interagency partners to carefully monitor the adversary's reaction to the selected countermeasures.
• Assess the success of the OPSEC process and selected countermeasures.
• Produce an integrated OPSEC plan or order to meet the IJSTO Office's requirements in support of operations or exercises.
  

Required Experience:

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE: 10 years space operations experience including: 6 years MAJCOM headquarters experience; experience working in classified (SAP/SAR) space environment; experience with AF instruction documents and AFSPC / USSF supplements, using USSF tool sets (e.g., TMT/NGeS, and MS Office); comprehension of preparation, development, review, and coordination processes with documents and deliverables across all security levels (Unclassified, Secret, TS/SCI, SAP/SAR).

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: BA/BS desired

Approximate salary range: $100,000 - $115,000
