Sr. Receiver - First National OKC

  • Summary: The Senior Receiver oversees the efficient and accurate receipt of produce, goods, and other supplies. They are responsible for coordinating the receiving department's activities, ensuring adherence to established procedures and protocols, and maintaining accurate inventory records. The Head Receiver works closely with suppliers, Culinary Management, and other internal departments to facilitate the smooth flow of goods into the restaurant. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multitask are essential for success in this role.

    Expectations:

    • Coordinate the receipt of incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders and ensuring accuracy.
    • Inspect received goods for damage, discrepancies, or defects, and communicate any issues to the appropriate parties.
    • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and proper handling procedures for all received materials.
    • Oversee the organization and storage of received inventory, optimizing space utilization and accessibility.
    • Maintain accurate inventory records through proper documentation and inventory management systems.
    • Communicate effectively with management and suppliers regarding delivery schedules, discrepancies, or other concerns.
    • Collaborate with multiple departments to place orders efficiently and accurately using the ordering platform or by communicating directly with suppliers.
    • Implement and enforce procedures to streamline receiving processes and improve efficiency.
    • Participate in regular inventory audits and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and integrity.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings within the receiving department.
    • Provide reports and updates to management regarding receiving department performance, inventory levels, and any issues or concerns.
    • Comply with all safety regulations and standard operating procedures and adhere to Company policies.

    Must Haves:

    • 2 years of Receiver experience in a reputable and high-volume setting, preferably a hotel or food/beverage establishment
    • Knowledge of food safety and proper food handling
    • Knowledge of receiving procedures and inventory control principles
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proficient in computer applications such as MS Word and Excel
    • Working knowledge of relevant electronic equipment such as scanners, printers, etc.
    • Ability to operate warehouse machinery such as a hand truck.
    • Experience with ordering and inventory management systems, Craftable a plus.
    • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds, and occasionally lift and /or move up to 100 pounds.
    • Able to work in a standing/walking position for long periods.
    • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
