We are a well-established Portland law firm in need of a reliable and proactive Records Clerk for our personal injury team that would handle file management and maintenance. Our firm specializes in civil litigation, real estate disputes, personal injury, estate planning/probate, and many other areas of law.

We are looking for a candidate who possesses the following skills:

• Proven experience as a Records Clerk
• Knowledge of filing systems
• Proficient computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent verbal and writing skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Attention to detail and ability to multi-task
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Willingness to be flexible and help with various tasks
• High school degree or equivalent

Job Duties

The Record Clerk’s job duties will include but are not limited to:

• Keeping files (physical and electronic) and documents organized
• Entering data
• Cross referencing, copying, scanning and retrieving documents
• Checking incoming paperwork (correspondence, invoices etc.)
• Sorting documents (e.g. alphabetically, by date, by significance, etc.)
• Creating and updating records
• Storing paperwork in designated physical and electronic locations
• Responding to file requests
• Keeping logs of closed files
• Maintaining an efficient filing system
• Safeguarding data and information
• Monitoring inventory of files and supplies and report shortages

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
