Description

SAIC is seeking a Stock Clerk for our customer site in Hanahan, SC. This position is 100% on site.

The Stock Clerk must:

• Have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures concerning stocking tasks such as receipts, invoices, weights, updating of inventory, inspection, methods of storage, etc.
• Have experience in receiving, unpacking materials/supplies and reporting damages and discrepancies for accounting, reimbursement and record keeping purposes; and completing shipping and receiving reports.
• Be able to move parts and assemblies within or between various buildings in accordance with Facility manager or facility staff engineer priorities.
• Arrange transfer of materials to meet production schedules; examine material to verify type specified for current project; and compute amount of material needed for specific job orders.
• Be able to safely complete all of the physical demands of the job in a manufacturing environment, including but not limited to the following:
  
  • Lifting, pulling, pushing and carrying up to 50 pounds, unassisted, on a regular basis.
  • Walking, bending, stooping, sitting, standing or squatting for extended periods.
  • Walking distances of at least one-half mile daily.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance. Active DoD clearance accepted.
• Must have a valid Driver's License.
