1. Knowledge of automotive and construction equipment usage, maintenance and repair. 2. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within and outside the Department. 3. Ability to learn how to safely and effectively operate equipment used in a sanitary Landfill/Recycling Transfer Station 4. Ability to obtain a Class B Commercial Driver’s License, or above, from the State of Iowa with tanker and air brake endorsements within six months of hire. 5. Mathematical ability to compute dumping costs. 6. 25-Hour OSHA/Hazardous Waste Handling
