Identifies, analyzes, and monitors issues that affect profitability, growth, and productivity. Being a Strategic Planning Analyst may be responsible for external corporate communications with industry analysts and the investment community. May also be responsible for recommending strategic alternatives and developing and maintaining operational plans. Additionally, Strategic Planning Analyst requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to project leader or manager. The Strategic Planning Analyst works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed. Job Summary:
Oversee the overall activities of the category management and sourcing process for Lowe’s indirect spend categories. Uses industry analysis and insights in the development of sourcing strategies. Utilizes complex negotiating skills with vendors to lower cost and maximize value for Lowe’s and finalize terms and conditions for Lowe’s approved contracts. Performs complex analysis of high spend and high-volume categories in the development of category spend and vendor profiles. Collaborates and leads internal Lowe’s customers, cross-functional stakeholders, and vendors though the Lowe’s sourcing process.
