Ministry Function: 

The Strategic Planning Manager supports the ministry of Convoy of Hope (COH) by managing  functions related to strategic planning.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

1. Create and maintain the processes and documentation required for day-to-day management of operational functions.  
2. Responsible for managing global strategic planning tools related to container planning,  target planning, and new country planning etc. 
3. Global container tracking and KPI maintenance.  
4. Support with international asset repository maintenance.  
5. Collaborate with other COH working groups to support global strategic planning.  6. Manage GP strategic planning timeline in collaboration with other GP Team Members.  7. Develop systems and processes related to assigned job functions.  
6. Maintain data and records related to strategic planning.
7. Assist with centralization of business and operational related data as it pertains to  assigned functions.  
8. Manage the planning, implementation, and execution of assigned projects.
9. Within the scope of project management, engage in problem solving to manage issues and remove barriers to project planning, implementation, and execution.
10. All other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

1. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required. 
2. 2 years of relevant experience, required; international work experience strongly  preferred. 
3. Position based in Springfield, Missouri. 
4. Significant cultural understanding and awareness is required to handle sensitive issues  and maintain vital relationships. 
5. Problem-solving skills; possesses the ability to remain calm under pressure and maintain tact in difficult situations.
6. Demonstrated organizational skills, ability to be detailed oriented and to follow through. 7. Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, presentation and computer skills.
7. Attends and actively participates in COH At Home Week meetings and activities as a required responsibility to the organization and fellow team members.
8. Serves as an advocate for the ministry, striving to nurture, broaden, and develop financial and other resource opportunities to support and expand organizational and program ministry.
9. Positively represents the ministry of Convoy of Hope, including its mission statement and core values, to all outside constituencies.
10. As a Christian organization, Convoy of Hope believes it is critical that team members embrace the organization's religious purposes for which it exists and not only agree with its Statement of Faith but demonstrate it in their lives on an ongoing basis.
