Job Title: Director of Digital Marketing and Strategic Communications

Summary:
The Tiger Athletic Foundation is currently seeking applicants for a Director of Digital Marketing and Strategic Communications. The Director of Digital Marketing and Strategic Communications is responsible for the strategic planning, implementation, and tracking related to all communications originating from TAF and its affiliates; development and implementation of marketing concepts, strategy, and content in cooperation with internal and external constituents; and the coordination of TAF communications with all TAF departments, the LSU Athletic Department, Collectives, and University.
This position is responsible for the development of TAF content as a part of the LSU Athletics strategic communications strategy; the creation, review, and approval of all external communications originating from TAF and its affiliates including website content, marketing materials, revenue generation materials, TAF logo usage, brochures, letters, and event materials. Additionally, the role will also be charged with the development and periodic review of approved templates for brochures and event materials relating to annual events and communications; monitoring media sources (including social media) and reporting on trends, current topics, and information concerning TAF; social media campaign planning and coordination; and, in consultation with the VP for Annual Giving, Ticketing, and Communications, the preparation of press statements and coordination of interviews with the media.
This position is an exempt position that will offer full time benefits such as paid health insurance and 401 K offered in conjunction with this position.
Responsibilities and Duties:
As a member of the Annual Giving, Ticketing, and Communications team, this position must be in contact with TAF, Athletic Department, and University employees, student-athletes, guests, visitors, donors, and stakeholders, and its occupant must demonstrate a commitment to respectful cooperation with all stakeholders in the Campus environment. Specific responsibilities include:

Build and maintain a comprehensive TAF Strategic Communications Plan

Lead strategy and management of all outbound communication for the office including:

Email Marketing (Eloqua)

Printed Materials
-
Digital Marketing
-
Social Media
-
Press Releases
-
Paciolan Giving Pages for all resource development

As a member of the Annual Giving, Ticketing, and Communications team, assist in strategy and development of revenue generation to meet annual giving goals and metrics

Review and support development of all brochures and promotional pieces

Develop materials (print, Power Point, video, etc.) to be used in meetings with external individuals to present the organizational overview and needs

Review organizational materials on a periodic basis to maintain accuracy and relevance

Responsible for TAF Website(s)

Coordinate and prioritize all digital asset requests including graphic design and video needs for office

Coordinate creation and implementation of proposal development for the major gift team

Write programs and scripts for TAF communications and events

Liaison to LSU Athletics for all paid digital marketing on behalf of TAF & LSU Athletics

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field, plus 5-7 years of work experience in relevant industries or fields

Excellent oral and written communication skills necessary to develop effective communications

Ability to work independently and solve problems without direct oversight

Knowledge and experience with Paciolan preferred, but not mandatory

Experience with email marketing platforms and/or mass texting platforms preferred

Utilization of excellent interpersonal skills to provide quality customer service, and to interact with a wide variety of stakeholders and clients, including donors, guests, and persons associated with the LSU community and the LSU Athletic Department

Experience or knowledge of social media management tools

Customer service orientation consistent with TAF mission, values, and core principles
