Job Summary/Basic Function:
JOB GOAL:The Executive Director of Enrollment Management and Communications reports to the Vice President of Student Services. The position works closely with the other campus leaders to identify, explore, evaluate and coordinate enrollment and other student access and success initiatives. As the Chief Enrollment Management officer, the position has primary responsibility for leadership, management, and strategic enrollment planning. The Executive Director participates in planning, budgeting, and policy development in support of the mission and goals of the College. This position has oversight of the Strategic Enrollment Management core committee and supervision of the Marketing and Communications and Outreach/Recruitment teams, with secondary dual supervision on the College Public Information Officer. In collaboration with the Vice President of Student Services, develops and leads the implementation of proactive strategies to increase enrollment and communicate to prospective and currently enrolled students.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides oversight of the College's marketing plans and materials
- Leads a highly productive enrollment management unit, including overseeing the recruitment, management, training, retention, and evaluation of highly qualified professional and support staff.
- Under the leadership of the Vice President of Student Services, communicates appropriate enrollment data to internal and external communities.
- Fosters the College's commitment to student access and success by actively building a strong sense of community, and promotes engagement in the life of the College.
- Initiates and oversees the establishment of integrated strategies, plans, and programs designed to ensure that all communication and public relations efforts are cohesive, consistent, and effective in supporting the mission and advancement goals of the organization.
- Creates an environment of collegiality, inclusiveness, and support for the College's diverse student body and provides leadership and direction in the administration of a comprehensive range of services, policies, and procedures.
- Consistently ensures the delivery of quality and responsive programs and services through effective assessment of outcomes of enrollment management programs.
- Participates as a member of the upper administration by serving on various councils and committees and serves as a liaison to various internal and external groups
- Conceptualizes and directs comprehensive, integrated communication campaigns for internal and external audiences, and recruiting students
- Acts as the primarily back up for the Public Information Officer for the Emergency Response Team to draft and deploy communications.
- Organizes and plans for all institutional communications channels, including public and media relations, and publications of the website and intranet.
- Consults with students, alumni, administrators, faculty, staff and interested community members to constantly improve EvCC communication and outreach activities, channels and tools.
- Supervises college marketing staff and graphic design department staff to create effective communications and public relations campaigns.
- Supervises college outreach and recruitment department to effectively present public relations campaigns.
- Provides consultation, advice and assistance in communications and outreach to college administrators, faculty and staff on all levels. Makes recommendations regarding communications and public relations direction and activities.
- Establishes, communicates and monitors compliance with guidelines and procedures that ensure institutional branding and quality control of public relations/communications projects and activities.
- Provides vision and leadership for the development and implementation of communications and promotional strategies.
- Develops and manages the outreach and marketing and communications budgets.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Business, communications, public relations, or marketing, or equivalent education / experience.
- Two or more years of experience in student services in a higher education setting or related field.
- Exceptional writing skills, editing skills, and oral communication skills.
- Proficient in data analysis, database, or systems software.
- Desire and ability to work cooperatively as part of a creative team.
- Supervision experience.

Work Hours: Typical work hours are 8 am - 5 pm Monday - Friday with occasional night and weekend hours. Summer schedule is condensed to 4 10s, typically with Fridays off.

Salary: $97,500
