The Role

The Director, Planning & Advice Platform Support, will join a cross-functional team of associates who are responsible for the ongoing support of the platform’s production environments and you will lead platform-wide initiatives such as technology maturity programs and operational improvement initiatives. This individual in this role will partner with other platform teams and business partners across the Personal Investing business to ensure the operational stability, continuous improvement and ongoing measurement of key metrics. #CSB

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

• Bachelor’s or equivalent with 12 years’ experience
• Drives consumer engagements (Process development, cross team communication on issues / impact / resilience improvements, roadmap planning)
• Drives platform improvement initiatives to improve stability and optimize operational standards
• Provides analytics leadership (opportunities identification, recommendations, stakeholders buy-in, improvement measurements and reporting) on the platform’s processes and performance to drive improvement actions
• Understands of system design (APIs, database, networking) and operations in containers, AWS cloud
• Supports platform operations on incident handling and impact analysis
• Demonstrates strong business knowledge associated with API development, Cloud, and Data Analytics
• Understands Financial services and Financial Planning concepts and tools
• Demonstrates a dynamic and forward-thinking demeanor with a willingness to listen to feedback, and synthesizes that feedback so that the team can adjust accordingly
• Builds credibility and trust with diverse partners and understand how to influence without authority
• Appreciates working with associates with diverse skills, including offshore development teams
• Understands digital technology platforms, financial advisory offerings, and financial planning capabilities
• Shows dedication to cross-functional partnership in agile, client-centric, dynamic environment – with a desire to test and learn
• Builds credibility and trust with a diverse set of partners and understand how to influence without authority
• Pulls information together across a diverse set of individuals and teams, and articulating the full story across multiple streams of work
• Possesses strong program management skills and ability to lead several high priority initiatives simultaneously with multiple partner groups
• Experience with logging and monitoring technologies such as Splunk is helpful
• Interacts with key partners across product areas and Financial Solutions Team (FST) to gain the voice of the client and associate, including feedback on existing experiences and future opportunities
