As the Senior Accountant / AP Manager, you will record general ledger transactions and perform periodic account reconciliations for multiple general ledgers. You will supervise accounts payable processes and staff to ensure timely and accurate payment of all company invoices and utility bills. You should possess the ability to utilize your accounting knowledge to analyze the financial information provided.

In addition, you will perform responsibilities such as:

• Prepare journal entries, reconcile multiple bank and investment accounts, and maintain investment files.
• Reconcile annual statements and assist in year-end reconciliations.
• Maintain and reconcile various general ledger accounts, and vendor statement reconciliations.
• Maintain cash recordings in Sage and print and record checks.
• General ledger assistance to support the preparation of financial reporting, budgeting, and annual audits.
• Supervise accounts payable processes and staff to ensure timely and accurate payment of all company invoices and utility bills.
• Prepare required unclaimed property reports and disbursements to appropriate states.
• Prepare annual 1099, 1098 & 1096 forms for multiple entities.
• Manage vendor insurance compliance.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

• Minimum of an Associates Degree in Accounting or a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting preferred .
• A minimum of two (2) years of experience in Accounting required.
• Progressive accounting experience in the private sector consisting of multiple entities, property management, and construction environment preferred.
• Knowledge in accounting software applications such as Sage Timberline is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 is a plus.
