Strategic Planning Manager manages the analytical and research activities supporting an organization's strategic, short-term, and long-range goal planning function. Oversees data collection and conducts organizational reviews to identify the business's strengths and weaknesses and evaluate operational effectiveness. Being a Strategic Planning Manager leads the research of emerging trends, expansion opportunities, competitive threats, and the viability of outside business partners. Develops recommendations for internal business process improvement. Additionally, Strategic Planning Manager designs and executes methods to track and measure organizational performance data to use for planning. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Strategic Planning Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Strategic Planning Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     About the Job

    The Qt Company is looking for a Strategic Account Manager (Automotive), to join our Qt Automotive team in either Berlin, Stuttgart or Munich.

    As Strategic Account Manager you are responsible for selling our Qt Portfolio including Professional Services (Consulting and Support) to named strategic accounts (global players) in the EMEA region.

    In this role, you will work closely with all functions like Global Account Management, Service Delivery, Product Management, Customer Success and Marketing to execute strategic plans to achieve or exceed business targets with the assigned clients.

    Responsibilities:

    • Build relationships with customer’s executives in R&D, Product Development, Marketing and other areas
    • Manage and control the sales cycle from prospecting through to close
    • Set and execute aggressive customer acquisition strategies for the assigned accounts
    • Develop and maintain strategic long-term trusting relationships with the assigned accounts to accomplish organic growth and long-term company objectives
    • Plan and manage at both the strategic, operational and tactical customer-facing levels
    • Align with business development managers, industry leads, and regional sales leadership teams to present a single front to help represent a single vision for our customers.
    • Interface with the product management and marketing organizations to help guide automotive product and professional service direction and production of sales plays

    Requirements:

    • 5 years of experience selling development tools, embedded technology or similar
    • Familiarity with Software Development tools and Software Development Life Cycle is a plus
    • Experience developing business opportunities with executives of EMEA automotive communities
    • Progressive, enterprise sales experience with complex solutions, passionate about software licensing, overachiever
    • Proven track record of successful personal sales pipeline management and results
    • Experienced in vertical market solution sales, especially Automotive
    • Proven experience gaining access to decision makers and establishing strategic relationships and successes for long term partnerships
    • Business development experience in a strategic enterprise sales environment within a highly matrixed, global organization
    • Knowledge in value-based selling, solution selling and creating long term business relationships in the software licensing industry
    • Target driven and results focused personality with a goal to deliver overachievement against clear objectives and business development targets
    • Consultative 'questioning' and Active Listening approach
    • Able to work independently in an environment that changes rapidly
    • Must take initiative and be a proactive member in the sales team
    • Team player with interpersonal skills to work with sales and technical staff in a dynamic and innovative company environment
    • Excellent oral, written, interpersonal and collaboration skills along with strong planning ability
    • Fluent in English and very good German language skills.
