We are currently seeking dynamic candidates for the position of:
MATERIALS MANAGER
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible to manage all aspects of materials flow and to maintain control and accuracy over all goods inventories, including all transactions, procurement, planning, scheduling, cost, warehouse, receiving, and shipping to ensure that customer orders are fulfilled on time.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Manage cross-functional, fully integrated planning process that incorporates, scheduling, inventory, material and associated cost elements.
- Establish and implement methods and best practices related to the systems and process that support inventory forecasting, material control, and customer service.
- Manage production scheduling activities by monitoring material inventories, tracking progress of production and reviewing factors that affect schedules.
- Prepares customer delivery reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends and uses information to proactively communicate potential late deliveries.
- Coordinate and work with quality, engineering, manufacturing to ensure 100% on-time delivery by establishing and monitoring schedule to proactively identify and address any issues.
- Responsible for accuracy of inventory control system by managing inputs and daily cycle count activities, thus identifying discrepancies in inventory counts and taking corrective action to guard against inconsistencies in the future.
- Work with Shipping Associates/CSR’s to ensure consistent and timely communication is maintained with all customers and suppliers.
- Work to ensure production schedules satisfies required time for material processing both internally and externally thus ensuring on time delivery.
- Participates in CAR meetings to resolve quality issues working with both internal and external resources.
- Participate in APQP meetings to assist in launch of new programs, Engineering changes, or internal process improvements.
- Leads by example and motivates people to create a challenging, empowering, and collaborative working environment.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Adhere to and support company policies and procedures, including Quality Management System and safety regulations.
- Coordinate Daily Production meeting – identify and address all Production Constraints.
- Manage and actively participate in the fiscal inventories.
- Input on plant, product or process improvements.
- Be an active member of the environmental team.
- Be an active member of the Safety team.
- Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned, which are not considered essential functions.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 8 years of scheduling and materials experience.
- Quality systems experience is required.
- Basic computer skills are required.
- Ability to communicate effectively is expected.
- Ability to prepare monthly progress reports using basic computer software programs such as Word and Excel.
