Stripper - Materials sets-up and operates equipment that strips paint from steel drums preparatory to repainting. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Being a Stripper - Materials may have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty with at least 4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Additionally, Stripper - Materials relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. Directs and leads the work of others. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a supervisor/manager.   • Overview:
    Element has an opportunity for a Test Technician to join our rapidly expanding team. As a member of the operations team in one of the various laboratories across Element. The technician positions must be proficient in a number of core business skills including but not limited to compliance to established safety rules, code of conduct, and company policies and procedures.

    Responsibilities:
    • Prepare material specimens for testing
    • Perform tests as directed by customer specifications
    • Ability to read and understand customer specifications and perform the testing required
    • Operate under the supervision of a more senior test technician and/or a Department Manager
    • Gather and record test data
    • Construct and maintain various test fixtures and other laboratory equipment
    Skills / Qualifications:
    • High School diploma or GED certificate preferred
    • Minimum 1 year experience in a testing related field preferred
    • Working knowledge of laboratory safety preferred
    • Possess computer skills
    • Must be a US Citizen
    • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
