Stripper - Materials sets-up and operates equipment that strips paint from steel drums preparatory to repainting. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Being a Stripper - Materials may have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty with at least 4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Additionally, Stripper - Materials relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. Directs and leads the work of others. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a supervisor/manager.     Element has an opportunity for a Construction Materials Test Technician to work in our Construction Materials Evaluation (CME) department. The primary function of the Construction Materials Testing Technician is to provide construction representative testing and inspection services on various land development, roadway, and construction building projects.

    Responsibilities:
    • Setup, conduct and analyze standard field and laboratory tests following prescribed procedures
    • Performing testing and inspection of soil/aggregates, concrete, masonry, rebar, and bituminous pavement in the field and laboratory
    • Communicate with Clients, Technicians, and Project Managers on a professional level to ensure a high degree of customer satisfaction
    Skills / Qualifications:
    • High School Diploma or equivalent required
    • Minimum 2 years in construction industry (Preferred)
    • MNDOT Certifications in SOIL: Aggregate Production and Grading and Base, Bituminous Street and Bituminous Plant, Concrete Field, ACI, ETC. (Preferred)
    • Valid Driver's License Required
    • Ability to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis
