Stripper - Materials sets-up and operates equipment that strips paint from steel drums preparatory to repainting. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Being a Stripper - Materials may have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty with at least 4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Additionally, Stripper - Materials relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. Directs and leads the work of others. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a supervisor/manager. Under the supervision of the Materials Management Shift Manager, the incumbent assists with the daily functions of the warehouse department and manages warehouse inventories. High school diploma or GED as well a minimum of three (3) years of high volume warehousing/inventory experience. Must have knowledge of proper handling of food and beverage products. Must have computer skills with the ability to learn department specific computer programs. Must have a valid Connecticut driver's license.
