Structural Assembler assembles major aircraft structures and subassemblies such as bulkheads, fuselage panels, rudders, flaps, and stabilizers. Prepares parts for assembly by filing, burring, crimping, framing, drilling, and reaming. Being a Structural Assembler receives detailed written and verbal instructions on all work. Requires a high school diploma. Additionally, Structural Assembler typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Structural Assembler works under moderate supervision. The Fabricator/Assembler will report to the Production Manager and will build proprietary diesel and/or electric driven pump units, fabricate custom sheet metal, and perform other mfg related duties as needed. Finished products will be built on fuel skids, DOT trailers, or in sound attenuated enclosures. The ideal candidate will have these skills:
1) Commitment to working safely and supporting a strong safety culture
2) High attention to detail
3) High mechanical aptitude
4) Ability to read and understand engineering prints for layout and assembly
5) Above average problem solving skills
6) Experience with diesel engine controls is highly preferred
7) Good communication skills – written and verbal is a must
