This position will be responsible for assisting in the assembly, repair, and testing of aerospace components in accordance with company specifications. This includes teardown, disassembly, paint blast, and masking tasks. The use and understanding of precision tools, fixtures, and measuring equipment with the ability to perform assembly, inspections, calibration, and testing. Additional duties include:
· Detect and report faulty components and processes
· Maintain the required documentation and records accurately and within schedule
· Visually inspects parts and products for quality
· Utilize aerospace industry best practices in daily operations
· Maintain a clean and safe work area
· Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
· Work overtime, including occasional weekends
Job Requirements, Responsibilities, and Experience:
Skills:
Knowledge:
· High School diploma or GED
· Understanding of industry standards for mechanical/electrical/hydraulic systems and the application of mechanical-electro-hydraulic components
· Inspection and Overhaul of Mechanical and Hydraulic Actuators, Gearboxes and other flight hardware
· Experience in mechanical teardown, cleaning, blasting, masking and painting is preferred
· Training in Mechanical or technical field of understanding of the principles of mechanics, hydraulics, or electronics, or equivalent experience is a plus
Experience:
· Experience in repair, troubleshooting, maintaining, and application of mechanical/electrical/hydraulic aircraft components and systems
· Experience with 3-D and 2-D CAD drawings/schematics/diagrams
· Experience with adaptive problem-solving approach and implementing solutions
· Experience in providing support to engineering, project management, production, overhaul, and mechanical engineering team members
