Job Details: We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Permanent Structural Engineer to join our innovative engineering team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to design and oversee a variety of construction projects, from bridges and buildings to roads and tunnels. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and analyzing structural components and systems, ensuring that they are safe, reliable, and efficient. This role is perfect for a seasoned Structural Engineer who is passionate about design, construction, and the engineering industry.
Responsibilities: 1. Design, plan, and supervise the construction of infrastructure projects to ensure they are safe, sustainable, and economical. 2. Conduct detailed structural analysis and calculations using software and mathematical techniques to predict how structures will perform under different conditions. 3. Prepare and present detailed technical reports and designs to clients, regulatory bodies, and project stakeholders. 4. Collaborate with architects, construction managers, and other engineers to understand and integrate their design requirements into the structural design. 5. Inspect existing structures, assessing their condition, and making recommendations for repair, refurbishment, or demolition. 6. Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, and regulations to ensure designs are up-to-date and compliant. 7. Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree would be an added advantage. 2. Minimum of 3 years' experience in structural design and construction. 3. Proven experience in using design and analytical software such as AutoCAD, SAP2000, or similar. 4. Strong knowledge of construction materials, engineering practices, and structural analysis. 5. Proficient in reading and interpreting architectural drawings and blueprints. 6. Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail. 7. Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders. 8. Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain one is preferred. 9. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
