Structural Engineer designs load-bearing structures or structural elements, such as buildings, bridges, or roadways. Performs analysis of building materials for use in construction. Being a Structural Engineer develops blueprints or specifications for use during construction and ensures all projects comply with applicable codes and regulations. Determines cause of structural failures, damages, and defects through site investigations. Additionally, Structural Engineer provides reports detailing investigations and assessment of damages to the structure. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be a Structural Engineer typically requires 0-2 years of related experience. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed.     REQUIREMENTS:
    • 2-10 years of civil engineering experience, EIT, PE or on track to obtain it
    • AutoCad Civil 3D proficiency

    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    - Design & project management in both the public and private sectors
    - Create and adhere to designs, specifications, plans, maps, project schedules and budgets
    - Coordinate communication with clients, consultants, regulatory bodies, contractors, and the public
    - Draft & design in AutoCad Civil 3D; Feasibility studies, master planning, site design, erosion control, stormwater management, septic system design
