JOB SUMMARY
Must be self-driven, demonstrate innovative design skills, and effectively manage multiple deliverables with constantly changing priorities. This position creates value by supporting sales by supplying outstanding concepts, samples, digital renderings, and mock-ups. The Structural Designer will be responsible for creating drawings based on the needs of a specific project while ensuring the design can withstand specific weight requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:
Brainstorming and participating in ideation sessions, discussing and clearly articulating ideas verbally or visually
Generating multiple display or packaging concepts and quickly communicating them via thumbnail or tight pencil sketches
Create digital 3D renderings for presentation or customer use
Generating and preparing mock-ups or production samples
Interfacing with Sales, Estimating, Graphics, Production, Customer Service and Clients as required
Applying attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS:
Associate degree or higher, preferred
Experience working in the corrugated industry
Knowledge of Artios CAD software, specs, and assembly instructions
Portfolio of display and packaging example
Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat)
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
At least 3-5 years of experience in concept creation and production
At least 3 years of corrugated packaging experience
Knowledge of major retailers in the Grocery, Specialty, Drug, Mass, Convenience, and Club channels
Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat)
Experience with Artios CAD, Artios 3D and Manufacturing
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Some Knowledge of visual design theory composition, color theory, typography
Understanding of cutting dies and production limitations
Must be able to work in a PC environment.
