Position Purpose
The Mechanical/Structural Engineer is driven by the strategic objectives of the business to deliver high-quality, innovative, and safe solutions within the entertainment industry. This role plays a vital part in project execution by performing structural and mechanical analysis to validate custom machinery, structures, and rigging systems. Furthermore, the Mechanical/Structural Engineer collaborates closely with design studios, project management, and external partners from initial concepting to project delivery.

· Manage activities of external resources and third-party engineering firms for assigned functions on projects. |
· Collaborate with all departments within a design and manufacturing environment. |
· Perform comprehensive structural and mechanical analysis on custom machinery, structures, and rigging systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and requirements. |
· Collaborate with design studios and project management to develop innovative and effective technical solutions that align with project objectives and exceed client expectations. |
· Conduct feasibility studies and contribute to the conceptualization and refinement of designs, offering valuable insights and recommendations based on your expertise in structural engineering. |
· Utilize advanced engineering software and tools to model, simulate, and analyze mechanical and structural components, accurately predicting their behavior and performance under various conditions. |
· Participate in design reviews and cross-functional team meetings, leveraging your expertise and guidance to ensure efficient project execution and successful delivery. |
· Stay updated with the latest advancements and best practices in structural engineering, continuously enhancing your knowledge and skills to drive innovation and improve the quality of deliverables. |
· Collaborate with external stakeholders, including architects, third party engineering firms, contractors, and regulatory bodies, to address technical queries, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with relevant codes and regulations. |
