Structural Engineer designs load-bearing structures or structural elements, such as buildings, bridges, or roadways. Performs analysis of building materials for use in construction. Being a Structural Engineer develops blueprints or specifications for use during construction and ensures all projects comply with applicable codes and regulations. Determines cause of structural failures, damages, and defects through site investigations. Additionally, Structural Engineer provides reports detailing investigations and assessment of damages to the structure. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. In this role, the ideal candidate must have at least 5 years of welding and/or have a certification of welding. The Fabricator will be fabricating metal steel and aluminum and welding other metal pieces together utilizing MIG and TIG practices.
