Pany & Lentz Engineering Company, a multi-discipline engineering consulting firm located in Allentown, PA is seeking an experienced structural/architectural draftsman/designer to assist with preparing construction plans for a multitude of projects in the institutional, commercial and industrial sectors.

Draftsman/Designer Responsibilities

• Work closely with project design team to prepare construction plans related to the design of new buildings and modifications to existing buildings.
• Field inspection, measuring of existing conditions and existing condition surveys
• Occasional preparation of architectural floor plans, sections and details
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to be able to interact with clients during project design.
• Potential building code review
• Shop drawing review for structurally related components.
• Occasional attendance of design meetings
• Local travel in the Lehigh Valley area
• Occasional travel out of area

Qualifications

• Five or more years of progressive drafting/designing experience related to the responsibilities noted above.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD
• Proficiency with Revit is a plus
• Knowledge of International Building Code (IBC) is a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Self-motivation and ability to work in office (remote work on occasion if the need arises).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $37.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 – 45 per week
