Job Description
The Structural Department is actively seeking a Mid-Level Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team of structural engineers with an interest in the design and construction of structures associated with water/wastewater treatment facilities, buildings related to tunnel projects, flood protection and resiliency, and infrastructure for aviation, power and marine projects.
Projects are typically very diverse and require a candidate that is creative, practical, solution oriented, and knowledgeable in structural engineering, construction procedures, material properties and structural design documents. Projects can range from the design of large infrastructure facilities with deep foundations, to the investigation and rehabilitation of an existing 100 year old water retaining structure, to the design of a multi-story building spanning over a highway tunnel. Most projects utilize concrete and steel however, many also incorporate FRP, stainless steel, aluminum, precast and masonry. Corrosion resistance and durability are critical design elements as many of our structures have a 100 year design life.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to act as the lead structural manager/engineer for small to medium sized projects, make most decisions independently, coordinate with other discipline leads, and delegate tasks to other young professionals. To foster continual learning, Senior Engineers will be available to provide design guidance and management training.
