Structural Estimator

Cives Steel Company, a well-established structural steel fabrication company, is looking for a motivated individual with experience in structural estimating, drafting or a related field. We are looking for someone who is organized, has excellent time management skills, strong attention to detail, and has a desire to learn and grow with an organization.

Experience:

 High School Diploma required, 2 or 4 year degree in related field preferred
 Word and Excel
 Estimating or Drafting: 1 year (Preferred)
 Bluebeam: 1 year (Preferred)

General office responsibilities:

• Prepare estimates on new projects and changes to existing contracts.
• Read and interpret project bid instructions and specifications for preparation of estimates.
• Prepare take-off of materials, estimate all necessary labor, buyout items and equipment cost to prepare a thorough estimate.
• Develop and maintain customer relationships.
• Assist the project management staff throughout the project. These duties include; change order estimates, requests for information, drawing review, review for missing information, ETC.
• Other duties as assigned

Additional Duties & Desired Attributes:

• Computerized estimating experience a plus
• Strong verbal and written communication a must
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize work
• Highly adaptable and ability to multitask
• Highly motivated and ability to work in a team environment
