Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Activities Director to join our team. As an Activities Director, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating engaging activities for our residents in an assisted living facility. Your role will involve creating a stimulating and enjoyable environment that promotes social interaction, physical well-being, and emotional fulfillment.

Duties:

- Develop and implement a comprehensive activities program that caters to the needs and interests of our residents

- Organize and schedule a variety of recreational, social, and educational activities

- Coordinate special events, outings, and entertainment programs

- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the smooth execution of activities

- Provide counseling and support to residents on aging issues

- Maintain accurate records of resident participation and progress

- Evaluate the effectiveness of activities and make adjustments as necessary

- Coordinate transportation and assist with resident appointments

Skills:

- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and staff members

- Strong event planning and organizational abilities

- Knowledge of social work principles and practices

- Experience in recreational therapy or a related field is preferred

- Understanding of aging issues and the ability to provide counseling on senior care matters

- Ability to manage schedules and coordinate multiple activities simultaneously
