PRIMARY PURPOSE: Directs and coordinates all student-related activities and functions to enhance the growth and development of the student body by providing well-rounded programs for social, cultural, emotional, and educational opportunities for all students to engage with the campus and the community.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
Bachelor's degree
Experience may be accepted in lieu of degree with approval
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to organize academic and student activities
Knowledge of curriculum and instruction
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Experience:
Five years teaching experience (preferred)

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Coordinates all academic UIL events to include, ordering and distributing of all information regarding UIL rules.
- Coordinates extracurricular activities in the school, including club activities, UIL and literary competition, pep rallies, pre-game recognitions, class activities and student council.
- Administers and coordinates student elections, senior superlatives and extracurricular activities.
- Establishes, maintains, and distributes the school master calendar and all daily announcements.
- Advises the student governing body and facilitates Principal Advisory student group.
- Develops and initiates programs through which students and faculty can communicate with one another.
- Maintains a file on club information (constitution, list of officers, members, and fundraising activities).
- Plans and coordinates all school assemblies and programs.
- Recruits and orients sponsors for school clubs and organizations.
- Administers and coordinates membership requirements and financial activities of all school-sponsored clubs.
- Plans and coordinates school productions and social functions (to include homecoming, Dawg House Welcome, Sneak Peak at the Dawg House).
- Plans and coordinates school participation in district and community special events such as United Way, drama competitions, civic celebrative parades, etc.
- Assist with Prom, Shattered Dreams, graduation, registration, awards night and scholarship night.
- Plans and coordinates student body fundraising activities.
- Hosts visiting groups; recruits, trains, and schedules student volunteers to serve as hospitality guides for parents and other visitors to the school.
- Secures and assigns personnel to expedite activities and provide proper supervision and security for all student activities (custodian, sponsors, and chaperone).
- Serves as liaison between school and media concerning school publicity, events, and activities.
- Orders and distributes caps and gowns, photographs, graduation invitations, and rings.
- Coordinates selection of students for special awards.
- Approves posters based on CCISD guidelines.
- Facilitates communication within the school and between school and community.
- Participates in program development at the campus and district level.
- Coordinates activities with the Adopt-a-Unit program and military recruiters.
- Coordinate and facilitate faculty climate committee (Sunshine Committee) membership and events.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Ability to communicate effectively (oral and written), instruct, maintain emotional control under stress, motivate and discipline students, and create a learning environment.
