Student Activities Officer assists in the development, organization, and oversight of the university/college's extra-curricular programs. Sets up social events and has a participatory role in the Greek system, the student government, and student run clubs. Being a Student Activities Officer approves funding for various student activities. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Student Activities Officer typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Student Activities Officer gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. This is a full-time, 12 month position reporting to the Director of Student Activities. The Assistant Director is responsible for developing, implementing and assessing comprehensive educational and social programs at Russell Sage College's Albany campus. The Assistant Director is charged with creating an inclusive student development experience consistent with the Russell Sage College mission. The position requires regularly scheduled evening and weekend hours to effectively serve student needs. This position will be a non-exempt position incorporating flexible time management to allow for a 37.5 hour work week.
