Student Activities Officer assists in the development, organization, and oversight of the university/college's extra-curricular programs. Sets up social events and has a participatory role in the Greek system, the student government, and student run clubs. Being a Student Activities Officer approves funding for various student activities. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Student Activities Officer typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Student Activities Officer gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Board members should be outgoing, energetic, and willing to get students involved. Event planning experience is NOT required. You’ll get a chance to work on all types of Events. Our events fall into one of the following categories:
1. Arts and Entertainment
2. Outreach and Campus Resources
3. Academic and Education
4. Diversity and Inclusion
5. Wellness and Recreation
6. Special Events and Traditions
