Student Activities Officer assists in the development, organization, and oversight of the university/college's extra-curricular programs. Sets up social events and has a participatory role in the Greek system, the student government, and student run clubs. Being a Student Activities Officer approves funding for various student activities. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Student Activities Officer typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Student Activities Officer gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. This is a part-time position working approximately 20 hours per week during school sessions. The work hours will be set by the division supervisor in consideration of the contract employee's class schedule.
During periods of vacation and school breaks, contract employees may be allowed to increase their part-time hours or work full-time (40 hours per week).
