Director of Marketing
The main responsibility of the Marketing Director is to manage the day-to-day marketing functions of the credit union. Monitor marketing programs, promotions, delivery systems, and community events for compliance with credit union policies as well as rules and regulations within NCUA guidelines.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee implementation of and reporting on approved marketing plans and budgets
Develop, direct, and implement product and distribution of member announcements of product promotions, product updates, or new products and services through newsletters and special mailings.
Develop and implement member surveys regarding credit union products and services, quality of service, product updates, and other feedback to help the credit union meet member needs.
Assess marketing programs, member surveys, or other tracking tools to gage effectiveness of programs, products, and services.
Represent the credit union to members, peer organizations and business associates.
Plan and coordinate credit union events in collaboration with Director of Credit Union Experience.
Manage collateral materials development, public relations, advertising programs, special events, direct-mail programs, and market research activities.
Research the demographics of the area the credit union operates in and identify population groups served by the credit union. Develop lists for potential SEGs or members for research.
Contact prospective SEGs, auto dealers, brokers, etc., to present information on products and services of the credit union.
Be a visible presence in the communities the credit union services. Promote the credit union through visible participation in business, community, and charitable organizations and activities.
Interact and communicate with staff on new products and services, advertising campaigns, collateral material, etc., so that employees are up to date on credit union marketing programs.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Mass Communications, Business or equivalent required.
3-5 years experience in credit union operations.
Passionate about the credit union movement and membership.
Ability to multi-task, set priorities, and manage time efficiently.
Excellent presentation skills.
Dependability and follow through.
Capacity to successfully work both alone and in a team setting. Must be a self-starter.
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite: Excel, Outlook, and Word.
Graphic design experience.
