Job Description: Director of Education
The Director of Education is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating organized educational programs for the staff and patients of Union General Health System through identified performance improvement needs, management requests, annual educational needs assessment, new procedures and equipment, low volume procedures and processes, problem-prone processes, and Joint Commission Standards. Additional responsibilities include assisting with the New Hire Process and Employee Health needs and other duties as assigned.
Education: Graduate of an Accredited RN Program
Experience:
5 years experience in an Acute Care Facility
2 years recent experience in Education and/or Management in an Acute Care Facility
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

3 - Proven oral and written communication skills
4 - Able to be self-directed
5 - Able to resolve conflict and facilitate staff development

Licensure & Certifications:
Candidate must have the appropriate licensure and certification to be considered for this position. Georgia Registered Professional Nurse or Registered Nurse with Compact License. It must be currently active with no sanctions. Instructor certification for ACLS, BLS, PALS - required. Other certifications - a plus.
