Palmer College of Chiropractic is looking for a Director of Student Experience!
The Director of Student Experience plays a pivotal role in student engagement with Palmer College. This position is responsible for overseeing and orchestrating a wide range of events, programs, and initiatives aimed at creating a positive, engaging, and enriching environment for students. The director will collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless integration of services and resources, ultimately fostering a vibrant and supportive community.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
- Responsible to the Dean of Student Affairs and has a support responsibility to all other departments and college personnel as necessary.
- Responsible for the supervision of work study students.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement a comprehensive student experience strategy aligned with the mission of Palmer College.
- Create, manage, and evaluate career development, student clubs, programs, events, and activities to promote personal and academic growth.
- Foster strong partnerships with Academic Affairs, Advancement, student organizations, and external partners to enhance student engagement and success.
- Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, ensuring an inclusive environment for all students
- Establish mechanisms for gathering and analyzing student feedback to continuously improve the student experience
- Provide guidance and support in the formation and operation of student clubs and organizations.
- Conduct regular meetings with club leaders to assess progress, address challenges, and offer resources for improvement.
- Ensure that all club activities comply with institutional policies and regulations.
- Collaborate with the finance department to allocate and manage club budgets, ensuring responsible and transparent use of funds.
- Assist clubs and prepare budgets for events, activities, and initiatives.
- Facilitate the planning and execution of club related events, ensuring compliance with institutional policies and regulations.
- Coordinate logistics, including venue booking, catering, and necessary equipment.
- Conduct workshops and training sessions for club leaders and members on topics such as leadership skills, event planning, and effective communication.
- Foster connections and partnerships with other departments, faculty, and external organizations to enhance club experiences and opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of club activities, including attendance, finances, and event summaries.
- Stay updated on best practices and trends in student club management and student affairs.
- Coordinate applicable purchase requisitions and work orders; orders and maintains applicable inventories.
- Supervise all aspects of work study personnel including hiring, training, and performance.
- Assist with updating and distributing the student handbook.
- Assist the Student Services department and personnel with student functions and activities including presenting housing, health insurance, and other student related subjects to prospective students during the Campus Visit Program and events
- Coordinate and assist with setup of all-school assemblies, including selection of speakers, travel arrangements for speakers, room and A/V setup and any necessary publicity.
- Perform all responsibilities in a manner that fully complies with Palmer’s Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action policy.
- Coordinates and facilitates new student orientation, in program events, and graduation events and activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Performs sedentary to light work in a ventilated, lighted, and temperature controlled office setting.
- Frequent need to stand, stoop, walk, sit, lift light objects (up to 10 pounds) and perform other similar actions during the workday.
