    Job Description:

    Longwood University invites qualified applicants to apply for the position of Director of Student Conduct and Integrity (GA319). The successful candidate will promote community-based standards and the over-century-old Honor Code tradition and oversee the administration of the university disciplinary system and facilitate an educational program focused on the development of students as citizen leaders, including the development and execution of a student leadership development program (Honor and Conduct Board). The Director will serve as a liaison between the office of Student Conduct and Integrity and the campus community (students, faculty and staff) and with campus partners as well as develop meaningful educational and developmental opportunities for Longwood students that contribute to moral development and risk reduction.

    Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

    • Oversee all functions of the Office of Student Conduct and Integrity
    • Promote learning outcomes in regards to the over century-old Honor Code and Code of Conduct Standards and Regulations in order to inform, foster discussion, and promote responsible citizenship
    • Direct a campus-wide educational program focused on encouraging civility, accountability, and the development of citizen leaders through the training and supervision of the Honor and Conduct Board
    • Train and provide oversight for Administrative Hearing and Agreed Resolution Officers, University Disciplinary Board, other hearing bodies, and hearing participants
    • Serve as an Administrative Hearing and Agreed Resolution Officer
    • Assist with Title IX, AOD, and anti-hazing compliance initiatives
    • Serve as a Civil Rights/Title IX investigator for employees
    • Complete and document departmental assessments and annual reports
    • Engage in professional development and continuing education
    • Serve on various teams and university committees as assigned
    • Serve as a liaison with other university offices
    • Perform other duties as assigned


    Requirements:

    • Master's Degree in college student affairs or related field required
    • 5 or more years of progressive student affairs/higher education administrative or comparable experience
    • 3-5 years of student conduct/disciplinary programs experience preferred
    • Knowledge of Title IX preferred
    • Knowledge of Maxient (content management system) preferred
    • Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusivity, as well as the ability to work with a wide range of constituencies (students, staff, faculty, parents/guardians, and administrators) with diplomacy and tact
    • Ability to act independently, take initiative, and exercise sound judgment
    • Some weekend and evening work may be required as necessary
