Student Union Director directs and oversees all operations of the Student Union in accordance with the university or college's policies and procedures. Responsible for directing all functions including coordinating facility use, administering student services and activities, and ensuring proper safety and security measures. Being a Student Union Director supervises, hires, trains, and evaluates professional and student staff. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Student Union Director typically reports to top management. The Student Union Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. To be a Student Union Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     Primary Description

    The NextGen Student Pastor is tasked with fostering the spiritual growth and development of students in grades 6-12, encompassing both discipleship within the church and outreach to unchurched students. This involves strategic planning, scheduling, and overseeing weekly programs and special events like camps, conferences, trips, and service projects.

    Pay Range: $70,000.00-$80,000.00

    Ministry Responsibilities

    • Pastoral Ministry
    • Attend, teach, and lead staff meetings & staff huddles as directed.
    • Function as a member of Shoreline’s Pastoral Team performing appropriate teaching and counseling responsibilities on rotation.
    • Assist, teach, and lead in Shoreline worship experiences such as prayer and giving back, communion, and teaching.
    • Pastor/Director (Middle School & High School).
    • Lead all aspects of 6-12 grade ministry
    • Plan and lead Middle School & High School events, camps, outreach, and training
    • Train, recruit, and equip volunteer team to lead students
    • Tailor teaching to Middle School and High School students, partner with parents
    • Engage in local outreach, be present on MS & HS campuses, build transition pathways
    • Teacher
    • Serve as the primary teacher for Middle School & High School Student gatherings
    • Create an annual curriculum plan with assistance from Family Life Pastor & Coordinator
    • Develop a strong teaching team for Middle School & High School Ministry
    • Serve on the teaching team for Adult Ministries when appropriate
    • Develop and lead a Parent Development Team quarterly
    • Partner with Family Life Pastor
    • Collaborate with Family Life Pastor to create quarterly volunteer training
    • Serve as a "Host" for outside ministries using Shoreline's campus
    • Foster organic relationships with students, volunteers, parents, and other ministries in accordance with the Outreach Influence Team
    • Assist in developing annual budgets for Middle School & High School Ministries
    • General Responsibilities
    • Develop a personal growth plan: seminars, conferences, reading, etc.
    • Keep a clear and planned-out calendar each week (Following the Shoreline standards in this area).
    • Adhere to Shoreline best practices and policies when creating a personal work schedule
    • Maintain a teachable spirit and humble heart in ministry and life.
    • Learn and utilize Shoreline internal software (ClickUp, CCB, etc.) continuously
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
